Lambertville; Howard “Bubby” Gailloux, 86, died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Briarleaf Care Center in Doylestown., Pa.
A lifelong resident of Lambertville, New Jersey, Bubby was a United States Navy Veteran for over 20 years and served during WW II and in the North Atlantic and was a member of the American Legion Post # 120 in Lambertville. For over 45 years Bubby worked delivering antiques and art nationwide for Herbert & Richard Sandor Antique’s which later became Ingham Springs Antiques in New Hope, Pa. and was in charge of building maintenance for the numerous buildings that the Sandor’s owned. He worked for Stanley Cleaners and was a bartender at Mason’s Bar for many years and was a former member and volunteer for the Union Fire Company in Lambertville.
Bubby was one of the original football coaches for the Lambertville Rambler Youth Football Program and was involved with the organization for over twenty years and he coach and umpired for the Lambertville Youth Baseball Association.
Son of the late Dumourriez and Estella Gailloux, and brother of the late Demourriez Gailloux, Norman Gailloux and Winifred Wood, he is survived by three daughters, Shelly Briggs, Estella (Pierre) Brown, and Debora Gailloux, a special niece and care giver Rhonda Tettemer, five grandchildren, Larry, Paul, Patrice, Tyrell, and Malik Gailloux and four great- grandchildren, Pierre, Mone’t, Larry, Jr. and Naya Gailloux and many other nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Lambertville. Burial will follow in the Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Twp. Calling hours will be Thursday from 7-9 pm at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Rt. 179 Lambertville.
